This is a tree I pass almost every day in a park near my home. There’s a bench standing right beside it, and I often imagine how many secrets it has overheard and how many lives have unfolded beneath its branches. If it could speak, it would have endless stories to tell. Yet, it wisely keeps those mysteries to itself, greeting the world every spring with the quiet promise of new life.
